Short Story

Since november 2016, I am on the ketogenic diet. Before I started, I was basically running on pizza all day! So I needed to find a good alternative. After months of bacon & eggs, I found a nice ketogenic friendly recipe for (pizza) dough, changed it a bit to fit my taste and here it is:

Keto Pizza

Ingredients

  • 500 g shredded mozarella cheese
  • 150 g almond flour
  • 1 (big) spoon of cream cheese
  • salt (chili, curry, paprika)
  • tomato sauce and toppings of your liking

Step by step

  1. mix 250 g of the mozarella cheese, the almond flour, a little bit of salt and the spoon of cream cheese into a microwaveable bowl. i like to add some herbs ‘n’ spices to the dough, since the tomato sauce is fairly boring, when doing strict keto. so add some chili, curry, paprika or other spices of your liking
  2. microwave for about 90 seconds, mix the dough together (a fork is the way to go) and then microwave again for another 60 seconds. your dough should already be of very nice texture the dough can now be formed into a beautiful pizza in between two sheets of baking paper
  3. put your keto pizza into the oven (220°C/425°F) for about 8-10 minutes
  4. pull it out, turn it upside down, add your tomato sauce, the rest of the cheese and any topping you would like to have on it
  5. use the oven until the cheese is fairly melted.
  6. [turn off the oven and enjoy your pizza!]
